While businesses have the advantage of being able to earn some generous fuel savings with a fuel card, the everyday consumer isn’t as fortunate. So, if you’re itching to save some money on petrol costs, look no further. We’ve done the digging for you and found all the real petrol discount offers you can take advantage of today.
1. Save 4c p/l at United Petroleum with a Digital Fuel Card
Save 4¢ off per litre at participating United Petroleum stations. While the offer says it’s for Suncorp members, it’s possible to sign up regardless

2. Save 8c* p/l at Shell Coles Express (then an ongoing 4c p/l)
Receive an initial 8c off per litre discount and then an ongoing 4c per litre off every time you fill up at Shell Coles Express. All you have to do is open the carsales app, go to the member benefits section in ‘My Account’, add your car and its current KMs (odometer reading) to unlock your barcode, pull up the barcode via the app in-store at your nearest Shell Coles Express. If you combine discounts you could save up to 22c per litre! Save your initial 8c p/l with carsales, save 4c p/l with a valid Coles supermarket docket and save 10c p/l when you spend $20 in-store at Shell Coles Express.

3. Save 4c p/l via the Coles Flybuys app (WA only)
The Flybuys app is the new home of your Coles Supermarket fuel docket. For a limited time in Western Australia, every time you spend $30 at Coles supermarkets in one transaction, you’ll receive a digital fuel docket offer – straight to your Flybuys app. Simply activate the offer under My Fuel Offers and choose 4c off p/l. This off is redeemable at Shell Coles Express sites across WA.

4. Save 4c p/l at Ampol When You Spend $30 or More at Woolies
Spend $30 or more at Woolworths or Woolworths Metro and save 4c per litre on fuel at participating fuel outlets. As Ampol continues to roll out revitalised Ampol stores across Australia, your local store may be branded Ampol or Caltex.

5. Save Up to 8c p/l at EG/Caltex When You Spend $30 or More at Woolies
Spend $30 or more at Woolworths or Woolworths Metro and save 4c per litre on fuel at participating EG/Caltex Fuel outlets. Save an extra 4c per litre when you spend $5 or more in-store at participating fuel outlets for a combined fuel discount of up to 8c off per litre.

6. Save 4c per litre at Shell by using a Linkt toll account
The offer is only available to those who have the Linkt app and is a paying customer that uses Linkt to pay for tolls. Like the CarSales.com.au offer, the discount only applies to petrol and NOT diesel, LPG or AdBlue.

7. Save on Fuel at Costco Gasoline Australia
If you’re a Costco member, you can save on fuel by refuelling at Costco Gasoline stations. The downside is it does require you to be a member at Costco, but fuel prices are generally significantly cheaper than standard fuel merchants. They also claim to use more environmentally friendly fuel!

8. Save at 7-Eleven with Fuel Price Lock
Sign up with 7-Eleven to receive loyalty rewards and fuel price locks. Search 7-Eleven fuel stores in your area to find our best local price on Mobil quality fuel, and select the price lock option to use a time convenient for you (up to 7 days). To earn other rewards, simply scan your My Card with every purchase to track your visits and after 6 visits, choose a free reward to redeem on your 7th visit. 7-Eleven also has a loyalty program with Velocity, where 1 litre of Mobil premium fuel = 2 Velocity Points, 1 litre of Mobil regular fuel = 1 Velocity Point and every $1 spent in-store on eligible products = 2 Velocity Points.

9. Save at BP When You Buy In-Store
Buy any two promotional products in-store at BP and receive 8c/L off petrol (max 100L per purchase. Promotional products must be bought in the same transaction as fuel. The ptomortional products change from time to time. As a bonus, you can also use Qantas Points at BP stations, while also earning 2 BP Rewards per litre on BP Ultimate Unleaded (& earn 1 point per litre on all other fuel). You can also earn 1 BP Rewards point per $1 spent in-store, and then use your BP Points for a David Jones eGift Card.

10. Save Up to 18c/l at Shell Coles Express with Budget Direct
If you’re with Budget Direct and have either Car Insurance, Roadside Assistance
Motorcycle Insurance, Budget Direct Rewards Membership, you can save up to 0.18c/l by stacking offers. All you need to do is be a Budget Direct customer, download the Budget Direct Fuel Discounts app (0.04c/l off), have a valid Coles supermarket docket (add 0.04c/l off) and spend $20 in-store at Shell Coles Express (add 0.10c/l off) for 0.18c/l off in total. 11. Save 4c/l as RACQ/RAC Member at PUMA & Caltex
