Our review
FleetCard is a multi-brand fuel card that works at over 6,200 stations across Australia. You can fill up at Shell, BP, 7-Eleven, Ampol, Mobil and more, plus use it for things like car washes and repairs. There are three versions to choose from: Classic for a simple solution for small businesses, Rewards+ if you want to earn Velocity Points, and Corporate for larger fleets that need custom pricing and dedicated support.
Who is FleetCard Best For?
FleetCard suits a wide range of businesses. Here’s a quick overview to which card might work for you:
- Small to medium businesses who want simple fuel savings without extra complexity → FleetCard Classic
- Businesses that want to turn fuel spend into flights via Velocity Points → Rewards+
- Larger fleets that need custom pricing, detailed reporting and a dedicated account manager → Corporate
- Companies that use multiple fuel brands rather than sticking to one network → Corporate
- Businesses wanting extras like EV charging access, toll management or roadside assist → All cards support add-ons
What about sole traders? Well, you’ll need at least 4 years of trading history to apply. Other businesses need 12 months.

FleetCard is accepted at over 6,200 fuel stations across Australia, including:
- Shell
- Reddy Express
- BP
- 7-Eleven
- Ampol
- Mobil
- Woolworths
- Liberty
That covers roughly 90% of fuel sites nationwide, so your drivers shouldn’t have trouble finding somewhere to fill up. You can also use the card at thousands non-fuel partners for things like tyres, servicing, repairs and car washes.
FleetCard Savings & Discounts
All three cards offer fuel discounts that vary by station. You’ll typically save more at Shell and Reddy Express, with smaller discounts at other major brands like 7-Eleven and Ampol.
New customers usually get higher savings during an introductory period, with ongoing discounts after that. If you pay on time and manage your account well, you may be able to negotiate better rates.
- Rewards+ gives you the same fuel discounts as Classic, plus 1 Velocity Point per litre of eligible fuel.
- Corporate customers get custom pricing based on fleet size and usage—higher volumes can unlock better deals.
FleetCard Fees
There are no joining fees or account management fees for any card.
Card fees: Each card has a monthly fee per card. Classic and Rewards+ have set pricing (often with a discount for new customers), while Corporate pricing is tailored to your business.
Other fees to be aware of:
- Late payment fee
- Dishonour fee
- Interest charges (after an interest-free period)
- Over-limit fee
- Paper statement fee (email statements are free)

FleetCard FAQs
Can FleetCard help with EVs and non-fuel costs?
Yes, eligible setups can cover EV charging, tolls, servicing, tyres, glass, roadside assistance and more, so you can roll most on-road costs into a single monthly invoice.
How does FleetCard actually save my business money?
You get everyday cents-per-litre discounts at participating fuel brands plus negotiated partner discounts on things like tyres and servicing, while consolidated, ATO-compliant invoices and spend controls help cut admin and reduce misuse.
Is FleetCard worth it for a small business?
For small fleets that refuel regularly, the combination of discounts, wide acceptance and one monthly tax invoice often outweighs the per-card fees; very low-usage businesses should compare their likely savings against ongoing costs.
What do I need to apply for FleetCard?
You generally need an ABN, basic business details, an estimate of monthly fuel spend and to pass a standard credit assessment; applications are done online and most decisions are relatively quick.
Can sole traders get FleetCard?
Yes, FleetCard and most major fuel card providers accept sole traders with an ABN but typically you need to have been trading for a certain number of years. You may be asked for extra information (like bank statements) if your trading history is short.
How do I control what staff can buy with FleetCard?
Through the online portal you can limit cards to fuel only, block certain merchants or categories, set dollar or volume limits and then monitor transactions in real time or via downloadable reports.
